If you ask for cash the old way, you know what you will get… or more precisely, what you will give up!
Here is a new way to ask for cash to grow. It takes 3 special SKILLS:

2.      Profit from your one-of-a-kind relationships

3.      Earn one of kind a pricing

Let’s look at those 3 skills.

Skill 1-Declare your one-of-a-kind future.
When you share your passion clearly, you become a magnet for people attracted to your unique future.
No one else can create that future because it’s built on your unique talents, background, and passion.

Your future makes you one-of-a-kind. Whatever is scarce is valuable and appreciating. That makes your future a valuable currency.

Don’t underestimate the importance of having a Corporate Resume. A Corporate Resume translates your passion into the universal language of business – dollars & cents, to make your future tangible enough for others to buy.  But, which future will you share? Sharing your passion means sharing your Optimum Growth Strategy.  That’s the strategy which yields the highest return with the lowest risk, doing only what you do best fueled with unlimited resources as if all the funding needed were your own.

Whenever you have problems accessing cash to grow, revisit Skill 1. Unless you turn your passion into currency, no one can buy your future.

Skill 2- Profit from your one-of-a-kind relationships
You can only share your passion of the future with people who have a reason to believe you. Credibility of your passion of the future is built upon integrity, and integrity is earned over time. Only reach out to people you know personally or by reputation.

Think of all people you know–Business colleagues, industry association members, school classmates, neighbors, friends who share your hobbies and sports. Each of these is a principal funding source, unique to you.
Each spends their own money; makes their own decisions, and can act fast. Plus you know them all! You don’t need introductions and you don‘t need to pay commissions of fees!        

Consider how your future is important to each of them. A neighbor benefits because your company has cash to contribution to the local soccer team; your business colleague benefits because your clients need more of her products; your customers gain a cost-effective innovative solution to address their market pain.

Let people tell you how important your company’s future is to them! Get them to come up with the suggestions about HOW they can help.

There are cash sources all around you. But if you don’t communicate the future you are passionate about creating, all these relationships can’t help you get there.

Skill 3- Earn one of kind pricing.
Your future is of different value to different people. Remember this formula:
Your one-of-a-kind future + your one-of-a-kind relationships = one-of-a-kind pricing.

Never use the term INVEST. People are hard wired to think “equity” with the word investment which slows them down because that is not natural. If someone is a lawyer, perhaps delaying expenses feels normal; if someone is a neighbor, perhaps an IOU feels normal; if someone is a customer, perhaps advance cash deposit feels normal.

What would be most comfortable for each source willing to help build your future?  You can’t know- so ask! When you package the cash exchange in the most comfortable way relative to each specific principal funding source, you earn one-of-a-kind pricing.

Comfortable cash packages for each individual reflects the lowest risk for that source which is the lowest cost of cash for you. Comfort lowers perception of risk, and that positions you for quick actionfor a fast yes!

The opportunity to share in your unique future earns one-of-a-kind pricing for all kinds of funding.

When you share your passion of the future with people who know you, you always get cash on your terms.
